Frequently Asked Questions

I am in Backwell, North Somerset and can deliver to students based in Nailsea, Backwell, Clevedon, Portishead, Yatton, Long Ashton and Bristol.

Tutoring sessions are available one-to-one in your own home, online via Zoom or other video platforms. This provides flexibility and allows students to learn comfortably from home.

Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and may include help with understanding key concepts, exam preparation, coursework feedback, or study skills. I provide clear explanations, structured guidance, and resources where appropriate.

My passion for teaching and commitment to student success is what sets me apart. I work closely with each student to identify their individual needs and create a customized plan to help them reach their academic goals.

I work primarily with students aged 14–19 studying GCSEs, A Levels or vocational qualifications.

Yes. I am a qualified Mental Health First Aider and have extensive experience supporting students with anxiety, EHCP and special educational needs and disabilities. I have experience working with students who have been home or hospital educated. Sessions are always tailored to the student’s pace and learning style and I would welcome talking to you or your parent to find out more.

Sessions typically last 60 minutes, though longer or shorter sessions can be arranged if needed. Most students benefit from weekly sessions, but the frequency can be adapted to suit your goals and schedule.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, just let me know as soon as possible—ideally with at least 24 hours’ notice. Life happens, and I’ll always try to be as flexible and understanding as possible—just keep me informed. This allows me to offer the time slot to another student and helps us stay on track with your learning goals. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the full session fee will be charged.

I offer tutoring in a wide range of GCSE, A Level and vocational subjects, including Law, Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, English Language, English Literature, Film Studies, Media Studies, Politics, Business, Protective Services, Health & Social Care, Religious Studies, and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). If your subject is not listed, please get in contact.

Yes. I provide guidance on all stages of the EPQ, including topic selection, research, structure, and presentation skills. I have worked as EPQ Co-ordinator and Supervisor and really enjoy the independent learning style to this qualification.

Simply get in touch via the contact form or email to arrange an initial chat. We’ll discuss your goals, subject needs, and availability, then set up a personalised plan that works for you.

I am happy to teach small groups for a reduced fee per student. If that interests you, please contact me for more details.
